If like me you're fed up with queuing at the post office to send a parcel or international post, then this might come in handy!
Please could you provide me with, under the Freedom of Information Act 2000, the location of every post box that the Royal Mail Group operates. Your reply would preferably be in the form of an electronic database export including a grid reference (such as Longitude/Latitude or Ordnance Survey). Yours faithfully, Tom Taylor. The Royal Mail is experimenting with a new way to make sending parcels a lot less time-consuming. The postal service has launched the first ever parcel postboxes, allowing us to send pre-paid packages in the same way we currently post letters. This is the first potential change for the iconic red postboxes since its creation 160 years ago.
This tool calculates which stamps you need to put on your item in order to get the postage up to the correct value such that you can simply throw your international post in any postbox, or drop your parcel off at your local sorting office (or squeeze it into a postbox!). You could even use one of the fancy new Parcel Postboxes. Super handy!
Simply check that the stamp prices in the boxes below are correct (they are as of April 2021), enter your target price taken from the Royal Mail price list here, and it'll tell you which stamps to put on your item!
- Post Box Finder is not connected to or affiliated with Royal Mail. The post box locations and collection times were released by Royal Mail in response to a freedom of information request in 2011. Any data newer than this was provided by our community of users.
- Download the Royal Mail App to find a Parcel Postbox near you or check this page regularly to keep up to date with the latest locations. The maximum Parcel size allowed into our new Postboxes is 44cm x 35cm x 16cm.

For example, to send a 100g Large Letter to Australia (£4.20), you'd put 1 Second Class, 2 First Class Large Letter and 1 Second Class Large Letter stamp on your item, then throw it into any postbox! No queuing, boom!
If you don't have a specific stamp type available, simply clear the price from the relevant box.
